Doubled ingredients
The same active ingredient hides in a cold tablet, a night syrup and a headache pill, and taking all three together can push you past the daily limit.
What you already take
Plenty of aisle products lift blood pressure or thin the blood further, so we look at your current list before you carry the box to the register.
Dose by age
Children are dosed by weight and older adults often need a different product altogether, not a smaller pour of the adult one.
When the aisle is the wrong answer
If the symptom has run long or the pattern sounds wrong for a cold, we will say so and point you to a doctor instead of selling you something.
