Your Diabetes Supplies, Plus a Pharmacist Who Explains Them
Most people manage diabetes by list. Strips, lancets, meter batteries, insulin, the pill that was added last spring. The list gets filled, nobody talks it through, and small things slip: strips that do not match the meter you actually own, a plan that quietly moved your medication to a different tier, a second reading you were never told to take.
Our Diabetes Care Center in Culver City treats that list as a conversation instead of a transaction. Sean Rahimi, PharmD, is the owner and the pharmacist in charge, so the person handing you the bag is the person who can answer for what is in it.

Ask the pharmacist who filled it, standing right there.
In Los Angeles County, 14.4 percent of adults have diabetes and another 40.2 percent test as prediabetic, and adults over 65 are about 2.6 times more likely to be in the first group than younger adults.
Where the details usually go wrong
Strips that fit your meter
Test strips only work with the meter they were built for, so we match the box to the model you own before you pay for it.
What it costs you
We accept all insurance plans, and for anything paid out of pocket we run our cash discount plan against Inside Rx, RxSpark, and Optum Perks to find the lower number.
Denials and paperwork
When a plan wants a prior authorization before it will cover a newer diabetes medication, we start that request with your prescriber instead of sending you back to the office.
Bring these with you the first time
- Your meter, or the box it came in, so the strips and lancets match.
- Every diabetes medication you take, including anything a specialist added.
- Your insurance card, or nothing at all if you plan to pay cash.
- We are open Monday through Friday, 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and closed weekends, so order before Friday if you are running low.
- If getting here is the hard part, delivery is free.
Call and tell us what meter you use, and we will have your supplies ready.
