PEP only works when it starts soon after an exposure, so phone the pharmacy the same day rather than planning a trip in later that week.

Paperwork with your plan

PrEP and some brand name prescriptions come back needing a prior authorization, and we file that with your plan and your prescriber instead of handing it to you.

Worth knowing before you call

Open Monday through Friday, 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM, closed Saturday and Sunday. That matters when a prescription cannot sit until Monday.
All insurance plans are accepted, and cash pricing through Inside Rx, RxSpark, and Optum Perks is there if you would rather not bill a plan at all.
A prescription sitting unfilled somewhere else can be moved over. Give us the drug name and we handle the transfer.
If you would rather not collect it in person, ask about delivery while you are on the phone.

Yes. ED drugs are prescription only, so your prescriber sends it over or you bring the written script in. Once it is here the pharmacist can walk you through dosing, timing, and what not to combine it with. If the first fill does not do what you expected, call before you decide the drug is wrong for you.

Yes. Bring the prescription from whoever manages your PrEP and we fill it at this location. What you pay depends heavily on your plan, so the pharmacist runs it and tells you the number before you commit to a refill rhythm. Refills can be timed so you are not making a separate trip every month.

Treat it as urgent rather than as an errand. PEP has to begin quickly after an exposure to do anything, so start arranging the prescription immediately and call us while you are doing it. If the pharmacy is closed, an urgent care or emergency department can start you, because waiting can push you outside the useful window.

Yes. Your prescription record is protected health information, and what you say to the pharmacist stays with the pharmacist. Nothing goes out except to people involved in your care or, if you are billing it, your insurance plan. If you would rather not talk in front of the register, say so and the conversation moves.

Yes. Tell us who to expect and they should have your name and date of birth ready at the counter. They do not need to know what the medication is or what it treats. If you would rather nobody else touched it, the pharmacist can hold the filled prescription under your name until you get in.
